Into the Unknown
Frost 86th, 124th Year, A.o.S.
A day had only passed since his last outing into other realms, and, after having visited them and seeing the cosmically large tasks ahead; Rickter had taken a bit of time to soak and ponder everything in. Naturally, those at his familial home had questions as to what was on his mind, why he seemed caught up in his own world, and what troubled him so that it distracted him from his usual dealings at the manor. Today though, his office had grown rather quiet once he finally shared everything with the two most important people in his life.
It was reasonable to assume Talon would inform Aoren of what transpired, as well as other important figures necessary to aid the cause, but Rickter naturally had only a select few he dared bother with such matters. Naturally, the news of this sudden undertaking bred a silence from both Telion and Hannah for a bit, astonishment plain in their expressions as they mulled over every detail he'd shared. The wolf didn't withhold anything either, sharing the dilemma with the Planes as well as his time spent with the Avatar in Pantheon.
Describing the latter took a bit more time since Rickter never mentioned anything about it before, but once that cleared things up with the two ladies, Telion and Hannah both seemed to process things on varying levels. "So... we've got gaping holes in the fabric of reality across the Planes. Divines are on a holy quest from hell to resolve the issue, and there's another dimension called "Pantheon" where you lot can all hang out at any time of the day." As absurd as much of that had seemed, her capacity to summarize things led Hannah to shrug with an unconventional frown added in. Surprised as she was, the rogue carried a mildly sardonic tone, which Rickter took considerable well in her own regards.
Humor was always Hannah's natural defense against new unknowns for her; Telion, on the other hand, looked more somber after the perplexity of the subject lightened on her mind. "And this whole time, you've been caught up in the situation with you and Lykos. Why didn't you say anything sooner?" The mother asked him sincerely, curious to understand the decision not to prior.
"I wanted to fully comprehend the extent of the dynamic that is between me and Lykos. Currently, that's been the most time-consuming circumstance I've allowed myself to have dealt with." Given the time in between he had spent with his family, managing what simple affairs were necessary with the household and family name, it had been the only thing that had kept him grounded on this matter the entire time. Now, though, things were set in motion again, things that required his attention, much like the Eclipse did before.
"So then what's your plan, big guy?" And there was the question probably worth a golden coin to the world right now. What Rickter wanted to do stemmed beyond personal endeavors and reflection, for he had so much to consider when the time would finally come to accept the Idea of who and what he truly was. Needless to say, he did have an appropriate and simple response.
"Firstly, I need to access the Plane of Ice. Though I'm powerless to do it alone, and, I don't think either of you knows a way to get there." Out of the two before him, it was actually his beloved who looked stumped upon the prompt. Not because it was unusual for him to request their aid anymore, but because, for once, the extent of that aid actually went beyond her own personal knowledge. After the wolf raised an eyebrow to her, Telion's gaze flicked right over to Hannah, which so did Rickter's upon following the line of sight.
"Both of you are joking, right?" The rogue raised her eyebrows before folding her arms under her bosom.
"You're the better Traverser." The mother retorted back pointedly with a light smirk.
"And you're also the one who knows people, if I'm not mistaken." The wolf chimed in courteously if not with a slight curt of emphasis on the remark. That garnered a jokingly appalled look out of Hannah, as if the implication might've offended when it simply complimented.
"People, yes, but none who can get us there, much less figure out how." She started with a nod of admittance before eyeing Telion with apprehension. "And I respect you for that, but really, you ought to trust me when I say this is out of my league."
"For now at least..." Both of the women shared a similar look when they eyed Rickter, until he tilted his head downward for a brief moment. "I already knew the challenges that would be involved, even before bringing this to light with you two. But now you know what to expect from here on, and how much more difficult it'll only be from here on out." The wolf emphasized with a stoic expression on his face, allowing the gravity of the situation to sink in for a moment. "Thankfully, we're not so alone as to be limited to a few resources. I've already considered another avenue that might help us out."
The demeanor in Telion and Hannah shifted as each leaned on the sides of the desk, eager to hear what conclusion Rickter had come to next. The wolf took a moment to reach out with his heart, mentally brushing the tether that kept him intimately tied to another important figure of his Pack.
Talon, my Sōrumeito, could I ask for assistance in a personal endeavor? He bade to his beloved with an inviting warmth radiating from deep within his core.

"Every side attacks you when you don't pick sides."
