Whiskey and Tea
Sivan offered Imogen a whimsical bow as he took his fishbowl of water and strange metal with him to seek out Jacun in the dragon's alchemical lair. Meanwhile, Zef squinted at Imogen. Kitty, indeed. He almost opened his mouth to say something about Jacun cleaning up his own place, but knowing Sivan, the elf would take care of it and Zef didn't think he ought to, not now that he was no longer Jacun's apprentice. Clearly, they maintained a friendship of sorts, but still and all...
"Master Sivan was born in Silfanore," he supplied, "but didn't spend his entire boyhood there. He has been going back and forth to finish his training in his old master's workshop. The master before Jacun."
The old codger knew that Sivan had trucked with the covens of Zaichaer, and suspected he might have joined one of them, but it seemed impolite to ask. While Zef had forgone many manners as a waste of time, he still respected a man's right to his privacy, so that would be up to Sivan to share.
"Finn started training with the blade here," Zef said with a touch of disgust. "Upset the wrong Zaichaeri official with a song from what I gather. Got his lute and his fingering hand broken, and the rest of his body much abused. I taught him how to flee through the slipspace, but the boy wanted to be able to protect his pretty elf. Now his elf doesn't need protection from him, but he's apparently taken the training to obsessive levels."
To Zef's mind, Solunarium took everything to obsessive levels, which was probably why he could never visit.
"But Siv learned one of the Hytori styles of swordsmanship as well." Old men did like to talk. Zef was no exception. "Only his house was burglarized and his neighbor..." He squinted. "...didn't you meet Laurevere when you were here last? Poncy fuck. Laurevere Val'Istra. Siv's neighbor. Taught him one of their styles. He's talked on and on about them before, which helped me take a nice nap in this very seat. Siv isn't an expert, but he's quite good to hear Laurevere speak. When Siv isn't within hearing range..."
fin.
