“A curse or a blessing.” She turned to face Kala. Gathering up her skirts, she gave the young demigoddess a respectful curtsy. “I take my leave, Lady. I have done what it is I sought to do, learned what it is I sought to learn. I wish you much success in your endeavors. Perhaps our paths shall cross again in the future.”
With that, the red witch took her leave. She exited the tower, the gentle tap of her staff echoing off its walls.
