Grandmastery: Vitalis (Paragon / Pharaoh)

Is this a skill that defines the character? Is it something that you can imagine them without?
I could never imagine Vergil without Vitalis; that would break his character for sure. He's designed to be a conflicted healer, and utilizing both Vitalis and Necromancy help explore that. While his initial and primary interests tend to veer towards helping others, those skills also allow him to explore the boundaries of biology and the soul. Gifted with the pseudo-immortality of Vitalis, he has both the time and means to explore those boundaries and to push them, something that has always been core to his character.
How often do they use the skill? If it is something used infrequently, it is likely not a candidate for Grandmaster.
Vergil will make use of Vitalis in nigh every thread he is present in.
What efforts has the character put into developing their own perspective and unique approach to using the skill? What is their trademark use of it?
For the first half of his career as a chirurgeon, he relied solely on the surgical, biological, medical and Necromantic skills taught to him by Grymalka. Once he gained access to the skills of Vitalis, he's worked tirelessly to weave all of these things together, and in the present he does so actively working as a chirurgeon in Gel'Grandal.
His primary and most notable uses of it are healing and fleshcraft as opposed to some of the more destructive used of Vitalis.
Is this a skill that others immediately attribute to the character? If not, consider fostering a reputation involving its use.
I would assume that the answer to that is yes.
How have you used the skill in your writing to impact not just your own character but others?
A lot of the time his uses of it need to be concealed or woven into other skills lest it out him as a vampyre which can be bad. In some cases, though, where his status is known, he makes outright uses of it.
In addition to putting Hector back together all the time, I have also used him to heal the injuries of others. The most notable examples of him healing others would be in this quest:

Within, he has currently provided crucial aid to both Imogen and Hilana.
