When the elves regained their sovereignty from the Clockwork Empire, the ruins of the old Temple of Skar Ñóla were moved from the ancient deme Vinyanómë to the west of Silfanore to its current site on the northern edge of the Agora. Historians and architects rebuilt as much of the old temple as possible from what remained, and this skeleton of a holy building was then made the centerpiece of the modern temple, which was built by sideromancers as both grander temple and fortification.

Much of the temple is made of metal, which requires a great deal of effort to keep from rust and other degradation. These efforts are undertaken by the holy who say that readiness for war requires such dedication. Too many times in elven history, long periods of peace and prosperity have been overturn by war far faster than one might imagine. Only eternal vigilance keeps them safe.

The ancient, inner temple is mostly marble and limestone. It was a hexastyle peripteral temple, open to the air, with an altar behind it. This is now in the peristyle of the modern temple, which houses the clergy of Skar from priests to augurs to battle maidens, as well as treasuries where the offerings of devotees are kept in preparation for future wartime needs.

Much of the place is open to the public and clerics attend at all hours of day or night for those who wish to make personal obeisance to the God. Otherwise, they keep the cycle of worship per tradition.

Of particular note are the weapons of fallen soldiers incorporated into the decorative outer gates, as well as the steel statue of Skar Nyenyë, which is said to weep either salt tears or blood when the Hytori go to war.
