✠ Appearance
- Rhaelyr has been blessed with a mesomorphic body thanks to his genetics, allowing him to pack on muscle and size rather easily. He has a rather imposing figure as he stands a bit taller than most average men his age. He is rather built and is said to embody what masculinity is supposed to look like. He has smooth, sun-kissed skin with very few blemishes. He has dark brown hair that is always styled in a posh and modern fashion, which is his signature hairstyle, as it complements his facial structure.
He has full, even eyebrows that sit above crystal brown eyes that catch the stare of many who look upon him. He has a smooth, straight nose that fits into his symmetrical face, topped off with a strong jawline. His physique is built to perfection. He has broad shoulders that accentuate his large, well-built chest. His legs and butt are well built as well, which also accentuates his small waist, but have been strengthened during his years of heaving logs and wood around, giving a well-defined eight-pack & obliques. He has made it a mission to keep his body in excellent condition and as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
Runes of Magic
✠ Personality
- A calm and collected individual, Rhaelyr handles most situations that would induce terror and fear in the average person with controlled ease. In most cases, even with genuine surprise and happiness, his reactions to stimuli are subdued. He normally conducts himself in a very business-like manner while on the job, only letting down his professional walls when around those who have earned his trust. Often characterized as stoic and or aloof, Rhaelyr is quite serious about his work. However, he knows how to separate emotions from service. He's blunt and straight to the point in most conversations and doesn't care for unwanted or false optimism.
He isn't without a certain level of distrust of others, given the egregious trauma of his upbringing. This has caused those who try to get to know him to have to work extra hard to break down such defenses. When around those he trusts, he is a charismatic figure, one many feel they can confide in. Nevertheless, those who can get past his initial concerns and distrust will discover a humorous hue to his character. He doesn't find himself especially witty, but any brand of humour is good enough to drink for the parched soul. He has a level of loyalty to his friends that is second only to his loyalty to the Imperial mandate and to upholding it.

✠ History
- "It's hard to know about yourself when all you have to go on is what was told to you by others. From what I was told, I was left on the doorstep of the mayor of a town that no longer exists, somewhere within the Duchy of Arlais. The Mayor and his wife ran the orphanage of the town, and took me in along with the other orphans as their own. I soon came to see the mayor and his wife, along with the kids of the orphanage, as my family and built a strong bond with them as I got older. As the oldest, I made it my responsibility to protect the other orphans when the town's children would make fun of them or bully them, which often got me in trouble myself.
Overall, my childhood was more than I could have hoped for. I had a job working at the woodcutters' lodge within the town, creating a life for myself and Emil & Avallene, other orphans who were too old to remain there. It was hard work, but worth every ache and pain, and it helped me stay fit and healthy with all the heavy lifting and cutting. When I wasnt working, I was always helping out at the orphanage with Emil & Avallene. Around when I turned twenty-one, however, things started to become...weird.
I would notice unusual symbols etched into the door frames of certain houses. Not to mention some of the townsfolk began to vanish out of thin air, no traces left of them. It piqued my curiosity, and I began to investigate. I would spend most nights atop the roof of our apartment, watching for any signs of foul play afoot. I combed over the areas where the missing townsfolk were last seen. My hunt for answers led me to follow one of the town officials out into the woods. It was there that I found the answers I sought, but no one could have prepared me for what I witnessed.
Deep within the forest, there was a cave, one that was lined with ancient runes along the cavern walls that led to a grand altar. It was covered in blood, and my eyes widened as I saw Avallene and Emil lying upon stone slabs. From the shadows, I watched as hooded figures began to chant, and the one who was leading them recited words from a tattered scroll, holding up a dagger above Avallene's heart. I rushed out to stop them, but I never made it in time, watching as my friend was bled right in front of me. From there...well, from that moment I dont really recall what happened next. It all went black, and I dreampt, well more so had a nightmare.
It was strangely surreal, but even now at the age of twenty-six, I can't recall what it was about. When I came too, however, I was within the capital along with Emil. I never asked him about what happened, but after that, he clung to me, and I was ok with it. We were all we had left of our little family, and I vowed not to let anyone else I loved and cared for be harmed. It was then that I came to know the woman who saved us, or rather, found us. She was elegant and looked at us like a mother reunited with her sons. Lady Carmilla told us she had plans for us, and we were immediately conscripted into the Inquisition.
We dove headfirst into our training, learning the fundamentals of what being an inquisitor is, adhering to the Imperial Mandate and the Emperor's will. The training was grueling but well worth it in the end. When we completed our training, we were brought under Lady Carmilla's wing, learning from firsthand experience to further our duty as full-fledged Inquisitors.
