Personality

Æden is a man distinguished by his ego. He is prideful, elitist, and stubborn, and he is well aware of these facts. He does not believe that he thinks he is better than many others, he believes he truly is. After all, he is Dryadalis Platinum, the sacred precursor of a new age, and it is a fact that he makes it difficult to forget in his presence. His projected self-confidence is high to match, and he inexplicably laughs off most insults or threats. He does not expect people to like him on a personal level, and usually shies away from making real connections with others. He has an unusual sense of self-awareness for someone with his behavior, making it all the more certain that he acts that way on purpose. The walls he builds are high, and his vulnerability is rare.

Appearance

As a Dryadalis Platinum, or a Hytori-Siltori mixed blood, Æden is special in the realm of Solunarium. He has luminscent grey eyes, long, ashen hair, and sun-kissed skin — a blend of features from his parents, and a point of pride for their family. Where his Rune of Negation is placed on the back of his left hand, silver, flame-like Witchmarks curl from it and reach all the way to his bicep.

When unarmored, he dresses like any other Populus Ex Re'ha — expensive fabric and golden jewelry abound, both to display status and keep cool in the desert heat. More often than not, however, he will be found donned in steel armor painted gold and engraved with sun and flame motifs and patrolling the streets of Solunarium Proper.

History

The birth of a Dryadalis Platinum into the House Camillus rocketed their esteem in the public and private eye of Solunarium. While marriages between Hytori and Siltori were — and are — far from uncommon, it was rare that such a coupling in Solunarium produced a truly mixed-heritage child. The youngest, by far, of the family — with his next sibling nearly 30 years older than he — he lacked much interaction with children his own age and never learned how to play nicely with others. No expense was spared in his childhood, but perhaps for fear of corruption or jealousy of his nature, he spent much of it cloistered away on their grounds. Given every sense of tutoring the family could afford, his friends were more often than not his teachers. As a part of his lessons, and to further prove his excellency, he was initiated into a magic of his choice in a move orchestrated by his parents. To their surprise, he chose Negation, believing it to be uniquely versatile. He studied bladework alongside his academics, and spent as much time outside as he did inside.

It was not until his late adolescence that he truly emerged into the public, almost immediately joining the Golden Legion and their Praeventores, becoming an Equitem Gregarious — a Wyvern Rider. As a Dryadalis Platinum, he is considered a minor celebrity, and often even those who would otherwise scorn him for his attitude seek his approval. He is no stranger to the fact that his race is the reason behind this treatment, but he takes no effort to humble himself, and has spent his years in public reveling in the status it grants him.
