D’vuipkoid Vonae'uvi, The Deepwater Vein

The Deepwater Vein is all that now remains of the Primal which once ruled the waterfall of Gihah K’uvfoi’uv Fi’uv, which was also called Gihah Vonae’uvi, and known to be a tremendous water-lizard, though the exact description has been lost to time. Gihah was said to be able to unleash a cry inaudible to any creature, but heard by the rivers, which would arise like serpents from their beds. The Deepwater Vein retains Gihah’s power to awaken the rivers, though with less straightforward methods.
Abilities:
Monitor’s Call - The bearer of the Deepwater Vein can lift it over any body of water to cause a portion of that water to rise into the air, twisting into three-dimensional maps of the entire water table and connected features. With enough concentration, the bearer’s other powers can be projected to even fairly distant points which are connected by water, and the bearer can receive information about the entire area through meditation.
Boundless Dimensions - The Deepwater Vein appears to be made of black metal, or perhaps scale, but this is actually highly-compressed water. By releasing the compression, the weilder can extend the blade to great lengths, though it loses a proportional amount of power. While the size of an ordinary kopesh, the pressurized water can easily cut through steel- but if one extends the blade for a thousand feet, the effect will be little more than being hit with water.
Awaken the Blood - By plunging the Deepwater Vein into the water, one can carve it open and rouse it to wakefulness for a short time. This empowers and awakens the elemental spirit of a body of water, imbuing it with will and form. The enfleshed water spirit is never opposed to the holder of the Deepwater Vein, and will generally endeavor to help them unless it would destroy their own water. Repeated use of this technique makes the slumbering water spirit more and more powerful and willful. While this power can be used to summon multiple spirits at once, even from the same body of water, this is a very draining technique which can quickly deplete a powerful mage’s aether.
