Fail to Plan... Plan to Fail [Solo]

In which Hilana and Lia prepare for a Kalzasern 'vacation'.

The Luxium represents the upper half and primary seat of the Solunarian Capital and one of the dual-cities that comprises Solunarium Proper. Situated between the foot of the volcanic Mount Sorokyn and the wide River Vasta, this above-ground metropolis boasts five thriving districts beneath the shadow of the glorious Palatium Furiarum (The Blazing Palace) from which the Solar Court rules in splendour. This bustling metropolis is by far the most populous region in the realm and, along with its shadowy sister-city the Umbrium, houses upwards of eighty percent of the Solunarian population at any given time. During the reign of a Solar Court, every major government agency in the kingdom is headquartered in the Luxium, with the notable exception of The Silver Sentinels, the covert intelligence agency run by the House of Phaedryn-Sol’Aværys.

"This is surprisingly less than I thought you'd be taking with you," Lia admitted as she watched Hilana gathering her camping supplies from a closet, carrying them out. They would take them outside into the sands so that Lia could ward them and Hilana could check over all of the equipment for functionality. Sivan had said that the temperatures of the garden never got as cold as the rest of Karnor, and the spirits around would certainly help... not to mention that pyrolyth was common and fairly cheap to access in Solunarium. But Lia intended to do some negation on her sister's tent and clothing, and that would further help keep the young woman warm.

"Well, it's a start," Hilana looked over the bags before she started to shoulder them. Tent, bedroll, camelhide wrap, and a woollen blanket. She might have normally have taken her campfire set, but considering where she was, in Sivan's garden, he might not appreciate that. The fireless hotplate might be smart to take with the kettle so she could make teas in the tent as she wanted without needing to come in. He had a kitchen, though, and doubtless she could use it as she wanted. And she would make ample use of it, but she didn't want to impose too heavily on her new teacher or irritate or otherwise vex him unintentionally. She had said she could camp out, and she definitely could. "Food, clothing, notebooks, supplies, and all of the rest of it will come later. I may pack a lot when I go out into the sands, but that's what we learn. And as much as I may clash with our father... he did make sure that his traveling groups were properly outfitted and supplied. We even had a portable oven to take with us to make flatbreads."
