Hilana understood what he meant. She did not ruminate on it often, but she knew her own abilities had grown considerably in a very short period of time. And it was a lot of power. Within Solunarium, however, she was no one special in that regard. There were many greater and more-learned mages than she. Many of her friends had mastered multiple forms of world magic and Runes, including present company, some of them were Grandmasters. The Magnati. Her own greatest strengths may well have laid in the knowledge that was less known, that of the natural world.
When Kala said that they were ready to go, she followed her gaze to check the rest of the Silver Wings. She might have liked to have brought back a pixie to introduce to Sivan, but she could also bring him here, or Kala's crew could make it happen. She had her hands full with her two serpentine spirits, and she needed to introduce the winged one to Sivan and see what he thought of them. She knew the ever-curious little storm-bringer would be fascinated by her friend, and hopefully vice versa.
But she nodded to Sentinel Qaevix, and the veiled Vigilia nodded back to her in acknowledgement. She would prepare the portal home for them.
"Not yet, really," she had to admit to Kala's question. "The elemental spirits have always been friendly with me, but I think that that's because I've always tried to be very respectful of them, and ask rather than demand. I am only really a novice when it comes to Summoning, but I'm hoping that the more I practice, the better their response will be. Maybe in time it will be a bit like how they respond to Sivan and to Kor." She was cheerful nonetheless. It would take time - most of her studies when it came to magic did - but it was a journey. There was no rush. "He's a new friend that we came across in the Expanse. Vasilei hired him on to help with the greenhouses and hives with Sweet Remedies. He is already attuned to metal, or he might have come with us," she added. "I think you'll like him."
The portal was soon ready, and it would take them back to the Praetorium. Plans could be made, and they could meet up again soon.
