Appearance
Zoan Form: Rabu appears as a silver skinned Siltori, with a lithe build and dark black hair. His inner Rathari beast can be seen in the slender pupils of his golden coloured eyes and the needle like fangs that show when he opens his mouth to talk or smile. At the same time, his boyish good looks and cat like mannerisms can give him an aura of innocence or naivety.
On the top of his right hand is the cardinal rune of the elements that glows dimly for all to see. Like his full name it has a rainbow like affect to it and isn’t purely one colour.
Despite his monochrome appearance, Rabu likes to add colour and vibrancy to his wardrobe. Even when wearing a black or grey shirt he tends to get one of his clan members to sew a colourful patch of found fabric onto it, just to give it that added fair. His favourite jacket is a crocheted creation by one of his elder sisters out of homespun wool, and it looks more like an art piece than a functional garment. From his neck he usually has his Ocarina made of cured wood, so that he's always ready to liven the mood.
Lycan Form: The form that Rabu tends to take when with his tribe, since its a nice fusion of his two selves. His head takes the shape of a rather large black cat, his body becomes covered in soft ebony fur, his fingers become clawed and a long slender tail sprouts from his back end. Unlike Rathari that resemble larger animals, Rabu does not grow in size but his new form can still be alarming to those that haven't seen many of his kind.
Beast Form: In this form Rabu appears in what most would consider a domesticated house cat but twice the size. Some might even mistake him for a Panther but his body lacks the strength and fearsomeness that a true panther has.
Personality
As the clan name of "Rainbow after Storm" might suggest, Rabu is a cheerful and gregarious fellow. His confidence seems to know no bounds and he has no problem making small talk with the scary looking mercenary at the bar everyone else is avoiding. Curiosity tends to drive many of his actions, whether it be a sparkly trinket or a mysterious abandoned house he just noticed. This can often get him in trouble but he tends to think of himself as extra lucky, cats do have nine lives and tend to land on their feet after all.
An artist of keen eyes, that is drawn to the music and beauty of the world and cares little for material gain. He thrives off the stories and experiences more than anything.
History
"Rainbow After Storm" also known as Rabu, Was born to the Dancing Monsoon Clan, a nomadic tribe that lives on the outskirts of Kalzasi but is know to migrate seasonally around the free cities to mingle with other Rathari tribes. Rabu was the youngest of 13 siblings all with different fathers, though this didn't really matter as parental responsibility was shared among the older siblings, cousins, aunties and elders. The Clan was known by the locals for their friendly nature and their music for nearly every clan member knew some kind of musical instrument or dance to uplift spirits and keep them happy. When it came to safety they used Elementalism to protect themselves from dangerous beasts and for other tasks that aided in their survival in the harsh wilderness. At a very young age, members of the Dancing Monsoon clan would be taught how to create strong relationships with the elements and how they could safely be called to aid with magic. When they reached adult hood, they would be given their runes and nursed through the long sickness that followed. Rabu caught a dreadful case of the chills that lasted around ten days after his initiation into magic but he felt the better for it. Members of his tribe that didn't succeed in this task were thought to be cat spirits that protected the tribe.
Males of the Dancing Monsoon clan were free to leave and join other tribes, while the females were expected to remain. Rabu was one of the few males of age that decided to stay since he had no interest in finding a mate. He hopes to find find new stories to tell the kittens of his tribe and unravel the mysteries of the world.
