☵ 10th of Frost, Year 120, A.o.S ☵
Company: Himself & Elements| Thoughts: Wind you're up first| Mood: Focused

☵ Hyoga had been up early that day, taking time to prepare his body for the training he had planned to do. Stretching may not have been the most exciting part of her training routine, but she came to find that doing so is just as important for a well-rounded warrior. He found that incorporating some stretches before any training he did would help him improve his flexibility, reduce the tightness in his muscles and body from previous sessions, and ultimately, make it more efficient.

Once done loosening himself up, he got dressed and made his way to the Warrens. The walk there was normal, the eyes of curiosity, the murmurs, and whispers, but none brave enough to challenge him. And who would, in all honesty, Hyoga was quite the capable warrior, so there was no need to bother him, at least that's what he always believed not that he would turn down the challenge. Once at the entrance of the Warrens, he surveyed the mouth of cavernous opening, trying to determine who would be the first element to be first to aid him.

Not to waste any time he flew into the Warrens, heading to the place he was familiar with down there. He could see the reflection of water in the distance, signaling he was close to where he needed to be. He was starting to get familiar with the area, as he would come down here to train, fight shamblers, and practice his magical craft.

Landing he looked around as the lake reflected against the rocks of the First Deep. Taking a deep breath, he ensured his armor was secured, and that he was ready for what was to come. Calming his mind, he reached out to the elements, offering his aether, as he called for the first element. Whistling through the cavernous expanse the wind came to coo next to him, gliding around his form and wings.

Walking from where he had landed to a spot where he could fight unhindered he places his hand on a sharp rocky edge and sliced his flesh. "Come at me you ugly pieces of shit!" he provoked, manifesting his spear as its fiery aura glowed in the immediate area. Beckoning the presence of the shamblers with his own blood, he was prepared to fight scores of shamblers aided by the elements.

It didn't take too long for his invitation to be accepted, as the howls of the fleshy monsters drew near. He didn't waste any time as once the shambles came around the corner, Hyo attacked, sending out a blast of wind from his hand. He then tore into the horde of flesh, calling on the wind to aid him in this fight. The sound of flesh splitting apart filled his ears, the found blood gushing out and splattering against his skin.

The foul stench of corrupted flesh and blood wafted into Hyo's nostrils as he splashed through their blood, his spear singing through the air as it took limbs from anything that was in its path. He was giving it his all but giving the ways the shamblers were swarming him he found that he was easily overwhelmed. They piled onto him like ants on dropped food, only to be blown off by a gust of wind from Hyoga's wings. Hey had to catch his breath for one, flying up into the air, watching the shamblers swarm and swell below him.

His eyes glared right into the horde, trying to determine the best way he could utilize the wind without hindering his fighting capability. Then he had the best Idea. Coating his wings in his aether, he manifested the wind around them and gave the horde below a blast of it. A hole was formed in the horde of fleshy bastards as they wailed and writhe beneath him. This would be perfect, he would use his wings to dish out blasts of wind to blow right through the shambles.

Now things could get interesting as he coated his wings with the wind once again, sending out a blast of wind that tore through the shamblers, clearing a spot for him to land, repeating the process. Using them as an extension of his own arms, Hyoga began firing off a blast of wind from his wings, beating back the horde of demons.

The sounds of glaring winds mixed with the splattering of shamblers against the rocks filled his ears as he proceeded to bash them around, sending them flying each time they would get close enough to him. With a large smile on his face, he wasted no time charging into the horde again, but this time changing up his battle plan. As if sensing his intention, the horde of fleshy abominations charged at him, and he responded accordingly. Parrying each swipe of their claws sent to him with a blast of wind from his wing, Hyo carved his way through the horde.

With each blast of wind, however, his wings started to become sore, as he had never used them so heavily like this, even when flying. Opting to use his spear this time he manifested the wind around the spearhead of the weapon. "Let's give it one more go ok wind?" he requested, thrusting his spear forward as one of the shamblers came at him, and watched as the elementally enhanced weapon tore through the beast like wet paper.

For each one that fell, it seemed that three more took its place. But that was the fun in it for him, fighting against overwhelming odds, though he knew if he wasn't careful, even he could be killed. As he turned to make a break out of the corridor, he almost lost his head as a shambler almost cleaved it clean off his shoulders. Luckily he was able to summon a gust of wind in time to throw the monster off balance. Cutting the beast down he sprinted forward, using his spear to guide the wind in carving a path.

The further he went into the first deep, however the more demons that appeared to stop him. He had no other choice but to fall back far enough to where he could funnel them all in a single spot. As he did so more and more shamblers surged the area. Luckily for him, he could keep them at a distance with the aid of the wind, sending timed blast with his wings, and clearing up the rest with the wind at his spear.

"You really aren’t making this easy for me are you ya ugly bastards?" he sneered. They really weren’t making it at all easy for him, as several attacked in a disheveled fashion, delivering strikes and slashes like crazed beasts. As skilled as he was in the spear he still sustained cuts from the attacks that managed to slip by his defenses, but it would take more than that to bring him down for good.

Calling upon the wind, Hyo used it to propel himself across the area, swiveling his spear back and forth to cut down any shambler that got in his way. He needed to find his way out soon, his aether starting to wain, and his body and wings beginning to hurt from this workout. For now, Hyoga had to stay focused, as one slip up could land him among the many that met their end here already. With each pass, the Kathar thinned the ranks of the shamblers, using the wind for added damage as it cleaved corrupted flesh from their bodies.

Leaping through the sky Hyo could see no end in sight from this horde of abominable enemies. He was doing his best but when one fell two more would rise in their place. He was certain that if he didn't pull out of this battle soon he would be overwhelmed by the swelling numbers as they were attracted to him from the blood dripping from his wounds. Luckily for him, he could fly out of their range whenever he deemed he had done enough.

Continuing to use manifest, Hyo called to the wind to give his spear a more defined cutting edge, as he began to make his retreat from the warrens, the Shamblers not giving up in their pursuit of him. Using his wings he took to the air, cleaving through the mass of abominations as he made his way to the exit. For a moment he contemplated staying just a little while longer, but he didn't want to push his luck.

With the entrance to the Warren coming into view, Hyo had to force his otherworldly pursuers back and in turn, decided to call upon fire next. Pooling aether into his mouth he turned mid-flight and unleashed a stream of flames in their path. The sound of screeching shamblers echoed as Hyo began to flap his wings to fan the flames even higher to ensure that the monsters would give up their chase and disperse.

With his hands he coaxed the flames to spread out until the path before the shamblers was completely covered in the burning flames. With that he was certain that the monsters would recede back into the depths of the Warrens. Turning he made his exit, already planning his venture into the perilous expanse of caverns. ☵
