His attire changes from the work he does and often varies depending on the situation. For his academic job, he sports a waistcoat, a pair of dress slacks and a exquisite pair of monk-strap dress shoes; for his expeditions, he often has a wardrobe depending on the weather and climate scaling.
Personality
Oliver is known to be an inquisitive man, often poking his nose where it should not be. Of course, his curiosity has been a feature that has lead him to explore. He is easily inspired and intrigued by stories of archaeological discoveries that have been unknown or unexplored, knowing theres always a possibility to determine fact from fiction. However, Oliver is a resilient man, perhaps often to a dangerous and obsessive level where he becomes too enthralled in his task. The task to prove that what's deemed as myth can be deemed as fact since his grandfather had already proven it once.
Theres a side to Oliver's resilience that gets dangerous. His reckless behaviour and the need to find excitement through narrowly escaping death. He is considered a bit of an adrenaline junkie and a born daredevil, often engaging in taking risks quite often. These include narrowly dodging traps and other things, knowing how much he likes to make his assistants worry about him as he is almost dangling off an edge. Even more so, his assistants often worry about the man's mentality as he quotes about placing various 'obstacles' in his gym. The ones which replicate traps in certain establishments.
History
Oliver is the second born to Cecilia and Victor Valentin; the grandson of the famous archaeologist named Alexander Valentin. He grew up with his older brother Valentin, listening to the stories and endeavours that his grandfather had endured to keep the family name. The tales of his adventures inspired Oliver, noting that he wanted to be just like him. However, his older brother Valentin would mock the fact that it wouldn't happen. This brought the dawn of Oliver's resilient and persistent behaviour, making a conscious decision to start learning languages and linguistics from a young age, taking the initiative to learn Vallenor. Most would think this was an unusual situation, but in most contexts and scripts, there were ancient texts that are deciphered in this language.
His grandfather helped him decipher ancient texts, hoping he would be the one to carry on his legacy when he leaves this world. In which, Oliver became enthralled in his narratives and stories of exploring the wildlands of Karnor to delving into the ancient ruins around Sol'Valen. With this knowledge, he began to put his life into his grandfather's work and eventually become the one who revives the true traditions of the Valentin family. When his grandfather passed away, he was left to contend with his older brother, who was much stronger and loving at first. Valentin and Oliver had a unique bond, vowing that they would always look out for each other.
However, things changed when Oliver made his first discovery in Karnor, finding a ruin to what was linked to a piece of ancient Moratellen history. The family was triumphant once more as he was the one who brought riches to the family, yet the bond he had with Valentin quickly faded. Perhaps he resented the fact that he had become famed talk across the boarder. There was no questioning that his brother's jealousy would continue to haunt him. He threw himself into his work, but yet there was an odd aura; the feeling that Valentin needed to take him down a peg. The resilient professor and archaeologist did what he could to hold his ground, but yet sometimes that was difficult, he wondered if there was still an inner bond between them, despite being cast out by him.
He hoped that one day there would be a chance for the rift to be broken, for he never wished anything bad on his brother, considering he still cares for him deeply. Is this bond repairable, or will it be followed by a vicious cycle of events that will forever change Oliver's life?
