Lak'uv Kakt, the Lake Baby

Image

Name: Lak'uv Kakt, the Lake Baby
Location: Lake Ogrym
Elemental Alignment: Water
History and Public Info:

Looming nearly 100 meters tall when standing upright, Lak’uv Kakt is a gargantuan amphibious Primal aligned with the Elemental Plane of Water. With a smooth, milky white hide, three sets of purplish gill stalks on either side of its massive head and black beady eyes, Lak’uv Kakt is widely considered to be aesthetically adorable. In fact, its Ecitharese name translates to ‘Lake Baby’ in Common and its native habitat of Lake Ogrym in the south of North Ecith is the site of many a pilgrimage for artists wishing to depict the great beast from afar. Lest its appearance deceive you, those who have drawn too close to Lak’uv Kakt have often met with unfortunate ends, as the Primal is an indiscriminate carnivorous predator known for devouring everything from humanoids to cetaceans when it is keen to feed. Though Lak’uv Kakt has been known to occasionally emerge from Lake Ogrym and take to the land, it spends the vast majority of its time within those waters which some say are little more than an extension of the Primal itself. The great salamander has been known to conjure the tides of its lake into snares and weapons to capture and cripple prey. Despite these dangers, many seek the favor of Lak’uv Kakt and believe that to survive such an encounter is to be blessed by the divine.
