Coid Ong Oping, Chieftain of Gihah K’uvfoi’uv Fi’uv
Coid Ong Oping was never the greatest warrior of Gihah K’uvfoi’uv Fi’uv, but he attained the ownership of the Deepwater Vein at the age of thirty without a single contesting voice. A native of the Gihah, the chieftain set off into the jungle on the river as an adolescent and did not return for a decade, having fallen into the service of a dragon. When at last Coid Ong Oping returned, he brought with him a depth of understanding of Elementalism which hadn’t been seen in the village for generations, which allowed him to push the rivers through Vonaoid Kiod’s lands further and further, and permitted greater safety for hunting throughout the burning lands.
Though he left the village as a starry-eyed follower of the Triumverate, he returned more of a follower of Stewardism, with a special interest in the dragons as the true overseers and guardians of the land.
Coid Ong Oping spends much of his time in communion with the streams, in the Gihah’s sanctum, in a cave located beneath the village. He does his public duties with as much kindness as he can muster, but is an unusually private chieftain. In truth, he never quite recovered his perspective from his travels with the dragon, and his whole heart has never really been in his new role.
