Vonaoid Koid, Blood of the World

Vonaoid Koid is a primal “out of its element,” and it has been angry about this for centuries.
Long ago, Vonaoid Koid was born on a great plateau further south, with a great sun-baked grassland, and it would run with its herd through the blazes its hooves would kick up. Hundreds of years ago- before the memory of any living Ork, but a short while as the beast reckons time- it was badly wounded and driven away by another Primal. Vonaoid Koid fled north to a wide, flat marshland, and tried to clear many of the trees to re-create its open plains.
Sadly for the primal, it found two great hindrances to its new range- the first was the long rainy season, which would harden its hide and induce drowsiness in its herd, forcing Vonaoid Koid to burrow into a mountain to wait out the wet months. Second, the great river and streams of the marsh delta were infused with the power of another Primal, which Vonaoid Koid could not fight in its weakened state.
Though it seldom ranges far beyond its mountain, during the dry months Vonaoid Koid will often spend long weeks trampling down trees nearby which have grown too high. It is assisted in this by the powerful living wildfires it produces- unlike the forest blazes kicked up by Vonaoid Koid’s herd, its own fires are hot and fast, burning far more effectively than a fire should and ranging through the forest with its own terrible intelligence. One of these fires can pursue a target for hours or days, and will even burn on water which has not been protected by a water Primal’s power.
Rarely, when Vonaoid Koid has rampaged for too long and its fires grown too great, the people must conduct raids upon it from the rivers, hoping to soak it with mystic water until it flees back to its cave. These raids are dangerous, as Vonaoid Koid has both a powerful range with its horns and the ability to create spears of magma by butting or kicking the earth- and unfortunately, they have grown more common as the great fire Primal heals from its ancient defeat. It is thought to be totally invulnerable while it lairs within the mountain, where its power to summon magma could overwhelm an army.
