Halves of a Whole
85th of Frost 124 Year, A.o.S.
A continuation from this event here...

Soon after He had crossed through the portal and into Pantheon, Rickter found the magnificence of the great hall, the chamber where Avatar awaited them as he promised he always would. The Divine Nimbus that crowned the Frost King waned now that the Light of the plane he'd walked no longer empowered it, leaving only the figure of the wolf himself to stand within the great hall. The Lady of Stars was someone he would've considered intermingling with here, however, Rickter did not wish to keep Her caught up in his personal affairs; not when they already had a greater task that was tantamount to the troubles ahead.

Initially, he would've thought to return home to his family, however, given that this bred an opportunity He himself felt had been avoided off and on... It was probably for the best that the wolf stayed a moment while longer, particularly since he had much to consider with not just his divine status; but the conditions currently affixed upon him at this point in time also. Everything alright, Rickter? The voice of his other half echoed within his thoughts, leading the wolf to reluctantly chuckle while he turned his gaze toward Avatar.

Not quite. In between everything that's occurred, from current dilemmas to minor transfixations at home... I feel I've been avoiding something that you and I both need to address. Rickter admitted to himself quietly, which stirred a mix of emotions inside, emotions he vividly shared with Lykos well enough to understand where they stemmed from. Don't tell me you haven't thought about it, too, Lykos.

Yet amidst the underlying melancholy and apprehension stirring within, Lykos did not make any veritable responses to the reasoning. After all, He accepted His fate and even so much made it a reality between them. On the other hand, Rickter still struggled constantly to fathom the extent of what went beyond the coming transition between them. One way or another Lykos was fading gradually, the line that separated Him from Rickter blurred over time. The usage of their shared powers only expedited this process further, and furthermore, waned the hope that he could perhaps keep the other sentience within him isolated as a singular entity.

Ask your questions, Rickter, seek the answers you've been yearning for. As promising as that felt to experience it wasn't the prospect that worried him, rather, it was the possible answers he would receive that prompted hesitancy within Rickter. What if not knowing was simply the better course? What if delaying the inevitable felt like the better choice to begin with? Lykos knew this part of him better than anyone else by now, save for the immediate packmates always close to the wolf. However, unasked questions would never receive their clerical answers, and having the clarity to face his close ones later felt the better route than bringing his personal uncertainty to the table.

Thus, he sighed for a moment, allowing his solemn gaze to linger before verbally reaching out to the Avatar here in Pantheon. "Hello, Avatar. It's been... quite a while since I last laid eyes on you here." Though being in a place such as this, one could only wonder how the Avatar perceived such a time. Was it a mere minute? An hour? Such were minor and trivial curiosities compared to what the wolf really wanted to know, thus, he brought to light the waking thoughts stirring deep in his mind.

"If you don't mind, I have some things that I'd like to ask."
