Sivan hit 100 xp in Alchemy upon completing his magnum opus at Tavárinoikos in Silfanore. He maxed out on lores before the lore system was set aside.
He began his alchemical training almost as soon as I began playing him; a letter of recommendation from his former master, Tavári'nar Val'Gwairil, who was teaching him artificing, to Jacun, the preeminent (?) alchemist in Kalzasi. Thus began his apprenticeship, which I played out while I figured out the alchemy system and he learned Common, alchemy, and other, auxiliary skills. He's already a master of scrivening, and he even has training in glassblowing (38 xp; 13 lore) because Jacun felt it important he learn to make his own lyrethillium glassware.
When he reached journeyman in-character, Jacun released him. He would do some contract work for Jacun, but began to work in the alchemical workshop Torin set up at his forge. Canonically, he has been a working alchemist since then, supplying Torin with alchemical substances to aid in runeforging as well as keeping the shelves stocked with high-trafficking stuff and taking custom orders.
He then took a season (Searing 124) to return to Silfanore both for personal reasons, and to continue his education with another apprenticeship at his old master's studio. Since Ash 124, he has been going back and forth between Kalzasi and Silfanore to keep up with his duties but also continue his training. In An Unexpected Gift, he impressed the Masters with a bit of innovation that helped them recover bits of precious materials deemed lost in the creation of other artefacts and for that reason, his master project became learning the alchemical component to the creation of mithril, The Alchemical Elf.
Hopefully, this proves his competency!
